The IBEX lab uses student participants to test new governance mechanisms under controlled conditions. However, recent research into the use of Large Language Models shows that AI agents are implicit models of human behavior and can therefore be used to (partially) replace human participants in lab experiments.<\/p>\n
With this subsidy, IBEX aims to build a Multi-Actor LLM tool that can be used to automate experiments with LLM agents. The tool will be made available to other researchers and students. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n
